Travel Advisory and Itinerary
In compliance with the current regulations set by the Chinese government, travelers are mandated to enter and exit Tibet via land routes. Consequently, there are no direct flights available between Lhasa and Kathmandu at this time. To ensure our guests’ convenience under these constraints, we have introduced a “drive-in, drive-out” alternative until there’s a revision in the Chinese government’s policy. Furthermore, it’s important to note that connecting flights from Lhasa to other Chinese cities is not currently permitted.
Brief Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu.
Day 2: Application for Tibet Travel Permit, Kathmandu sightseeing, and onward flight to Pokhara.
Day 3: Sightseeing in Pokhara.
Day 4: Return flight to Kathmandu and preparations for Tibet travel.
Day 5: Journey from Kathmandu to Kerung.
Day 6: Travel from Kerung to Tingri.
Day 7: Proceed from Tingri to Shigatse.
Day 8: Journey from Shigatse to Lhasa.
Day 9 & 10: Explore Lhasa.
Day 11: Journey back to Shegar.
Day 12: Return to Kathmandu.
Day 13: Flight to Paro, followed by a drive to Thimpu.
Day 14: Sightseeing in Thimpu and onward drive to Punakha.
Day 15: Explore Punakha and drive back to Paro.
Day 16: Hike to the renowned Tiger’s Nest.
Day 17: Departure from Paro, Bhutan.
Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy sightseeing at all destinations as outlined in our original itinerary. Should there be any changes in the Chinese government’s regulations, allowing for the Lhasa-Kathmandu flight, we will revert to our original itinerary.
