Weather
Except for winter and monsoon season, the climate is characterized by a beautiful cloudless sun. The average temperature ranges between 9°C to 15 °C.
The best times to travel to Pheriche are April, May, June, September, and November. April and May are the spring, and September and November bring the autumn season in the village when the average daytime temperature will be serene with clear visibility of the surroundings.
On the contrary, visiting Pheriche in January, February, and December is not recommended for strictly climatic reasons. These months bring the winter season accompanied by heavy snowfalls and unpredictable weather.
Trek from Tengboche
A hike from Tengboche to Pheriche is a trek of 10km in straight line distance and 600m in altitude difference. Approximate walk of 6 hours and 30 minutes, and you will finally arrive in Pheriche, crossing the beautiful village of Pangboche, another popular overnight tourist stop.
The route traverses all day so that you can enjoy a walk and breathtaking views opening up from behind the next turn. You can also see many mani stones on the way. After the path’s next turn, Pheriche village sits smiling at you at the foot of Ama Dablam.

Pheriche to Lobuche
The track to Lobuche village is covered with areas for grazing yaks that are fenced off with low stone fences. After a few hours of hike and the next turn of the trail, you will reach the Khumbu Glacier and the village of Tukla above. You will walk along the glacier for the rest of the route until the end.

Pheriche to Lobuche
The passage is laid with stones brought here by ice, which moves at a speed of about 180 meters per year. After you cross the glacier, you will ascend Tukla. To the right, behind the elevation, the Khumbu Glacier slowly moves down. You have reached Lobuche.
