About Ama Dablam

Ama Dablam, also known as the prettiest mountain in the world, is the best in the Everest region. Mount Ama Dablam, 6,812 meters above sea level, is about 20 kilometers from the mighty Everest. With the southwest face representing the sacred ornament box of Sherpa women called Dablam, this is the most visually striking peak in the world. Moreover, there are three camps, including the base camp of Ama Dablam. Spending multiple nights in the mountains, we live the best days of our life.

Ama Dablam expedition is a fun solid rock & snow climbing expedition. With the fixed ropes, Crampons, and axes, the journey will demand technical knowledge, good physical fitness, and training for both novices and expert climbers. Mike Gill, Barry Bishop, Mike Ward, and Wally Romanes first climbed the Ama Dablam peak in 1961 via the Southwest Ridge.

An Expedition Route

The 21 days Ama Dablam expedition itinerary is easy to accomplish and a rewarding climb. You will explore the exotic Kathmandu city before flying into the remote mountain town of Lukla. The trek to Everest Base Camp begins from Lukla. First, we walk to the village of Phakding and further trek to the famous town of Namche. We stopped at this spectacular village for a day. Then, we walked to another village of Dingboche before the Ama Dablam Base Camp.

Here, we stop for a day or two to get some training for the mountain climb. The porters will set the camps and prepare the food so that you can focus on the climb. When the weather is stable, we walk to camps 1 and 2. Certified/ experienced guides and Sherpas lead your tour. They will help you fix the ropes and ascend the steep rock.

Lastly, trekking to the submission will be our ultimate target. On the same day, we headed back to the lower altitude. Climbing down to the base camp, we get to Namche Bazaar and finally to Lukla. Finally, a flight from Lukla brings us to Kathmandu, the ending point of our trek.

Sitting at 8848 m, Mt Everest, the best peak in the world, makes it the best trekking destination. The attraction of tourists has made the locals build these tiny tea houses that serve the basic yet comfortable stay in the mountains. But most of our nights in the mountains will be in tents. So let’s learn about the Ama Dablam Expedition in detail.
