The trek begins with a short yet exciting flight to the Lukla airstrip from Kathmandu. The trip is adventurous, taking you through tall mountains and deep canyons. Furthermore, Tenzing-Hillary Airport is one of the most extreme airports globally for many. The Everest Panorama Trekking starts from the small Sherpa town of Lukla. Our crew joins you here with all the necessary equipment. After lunch, the trek progresses toward Phakding, on the banks of Dudhkoshi River, where we stop for the night.
From Phakding, we reach Jorsalle, where the confluence of the Dudhkoshi and Bhotekoshi rivers greets us. After crossing the river on a suspension bridge, a steep climb of about an hour from Jorsalle will take us to Namche Bazaar. Here, we stay for two days to acclimatize to the higher altitude. Also, our crew organizes short hikes to the world-famous Everest View Hotel or the Khumjung village for acclimatization.
From Namche Bazaar, the trek moves towards Mongla Danda, a small Sherpa village seated atop a hill. The place offers picturesque and panoramic high mountains, including the majestic Everest. Further, you can see the sea of clouds down in the valley. The trek continues to Tengboche – the spiritual village in the Everest region. The most noteworthy attraction of Tengboche is the famous Tengboche Monastery. While in this village, prayer chants wake you up in the morning. Here, you can get an opportunity to observe the Mani Rimdu festival. Many mountaineers respect local culture and offer special worship at the monastery before attempting mountains.
Leaving Tengboche, you descend to Namche and then to Lukla via Phakding. The next day, you take a flight back to Kathmandu. Book this Everest Panorama Trek with Peregrine Treks & Tours to enjoy the best of the Everest Region. Peregrine offers you warm hospitality at the best price.
