A note from our Expert Travel Guide
Our expedition to the Annapurna Base Camp, spanning up to a fortnight, commences with a drive to Pokhara – then by jeep to one of 3 launching points of our trek, Nayapul, Tikedhunga, or Ulleri, depending on your chosen package.
We encourage you to start the ABC trek from Nayapul for two reasons,
- Starting here is a gentle introduction to the strenuous assents that follow, and the second is starting lower down aids the body to acclimatize.
- Ensuring your safety and comfort at all times.
The path meanders through verdant foothills, terraced fields, and culturally opulent hamlets. The divine ambiance is augmented by vivid prayer flags, chortens, venerable monasteries, and stupas that bless us with positive energy for a triumphant odyssey.
As we ascend to greater heights, the awe-inspiring landscape leaves us spellbound. The villages are inhabited by Gurungs, Magars, and Thakalis, who practice Hinduism and Buddhism. The unassuming yet gratifying lifestyle of these locals entices us to linger. Their centuries-old customs upheld through their forebears are still alive and thriving.
The Annapurna Trek presents an unbroken tapestry of natural diversity. And captivating mountain vistas, landscapes, terraced rhododendron, and bamboo fields.
